Kestrel Timber frame appointment boosts customer service
Kestrel Timber Frame has appointed a new project co-ordinator.
With over 20 years experience in the timber engineering trade Andy Perrin joins Kestrel from Scotts of Thrapston. Prior to that, he fulfilled managerial roles at Palgrave Brown, Raab Karcher (UK) and Hunter Timber Engineering.
Kestrel Timber Frame’s Paul Adams said: “We are delighted that Andy has joined us. He brings with him invaluable experience as a design and production manager.
“Andy is already a valuable member of our team. He is driving improvements in our customer service and will help develop the Kestrel brand, enabling us to ensure a high quality service and commitment to the construction industry.”
Commenting on his new role at Kestrel Timber Frame Andy Perrin said: “I am providing technical backup and assistance both to our erection teams on construction sites and to our production unit in the factory.
“By providing a link between the design and manufacturing stages I co-ordinate design to manufacture. I also ensure that we have the resources at the factory to construct our timber frames, deliver them to site and erect them quickly and accurately to meet our clients’ requirements and deadlines.”
In addition, Andy is introducing innovative solutions to ensure Kestrel is meeting the requirements of clients and government legislation. This includes meeting the code for sustainable homes in the most cost effective way by ensuring that the team is following the sustainable principles of modern manufacture.
Married with a teenage son, in his spare time Andy is a musician. He said: “I studied at the Royal College of Music as a child and I still play several musical instruments although I don’t get much time to practice these days.
“I also played hockey and cricket at county level but I’m more of an armchair sportsman these days, although I keep up with my running.
“I am very pleased to be joining the team at Kestrel Timber Frame and I look forward to working with them to provide the best possible service to its customers and to help take its business forward.”
