Government regulations mean that most new houses must now meet the requirements of the Code for Sustainable Homes. Using timber frame construction along with the renewable energy technologies is the most economical way to achieve compliance with the Code.
Meeting standards – Kestrel offers customers cost-effective timber frames to meet the requirements of the government’s Code for Sustainable Homes. Timber frame is the natural choice for achieving levels 3 to 6 of the Code.
SAP targets – Timber frame maximises thermal performance. Air tight construction helps builders and developers meet SAP targets.
Building regulations – Kestrel timber frames will help architects and builders meet the required standards by making it easy to deliver effective acoustic insulation, air tightness and thermal insulation.
Fire safety – All buildings, whether timber frame, masonry, or steel are built to meet the same fire building regulations. As a member of the UK Timber Frame Association (UKTFA), Kestrel Timber Frame complies with the 16 steps to fire safety on timber construction sites.
TRADA – Kestrel Timber Frame is a member of the Timber Research and Development Association (TRADA). Membership ensures that Kestrel is conforming to the latest Building Regulations and Building Codes and always at the forefront of the latest advances in the use of timber in construction.
